The Dressing Room @ Emmett & White was opened in 2016 by William Emmett a year after opening Emmett & White Antiques & Interiors with his husband, Nicholas.  William's passion for fashion was shared by a relative who gave him a vast collection of exquisite clothing from the 1920s to the 1960s.  

This was the start of The Dressing Room.

William has filled both floors of the shop with some of the very best pieces you could hope to find. The ever-changing collection includes clothes by such icons as Hardy Amies, Hermes, Chanel and
Yves san Laurent alongside lesser know fashion gods and goddesses like Fortuny.  

In addition to the clothing, William is finding hidden talents in dressmaking and millinery - perhaps inherited from his Mother who was a dressmaker for Hardy Amies.
